Their lodge is located much further north than other operators in the same category, which puts their guests closer to the Blue Hola of Thompson Pass. And given the stormy conditions here you can take advantage of more Eskimo days than anywhere else in the region.

Daily Average Snowfall

Thompson Pass, at 2,805 feet, is the snowiest recorded location in Alaska, with an average snowfall of 551.5 inches (1,401 cm) per year. It also holds the record for the most measured snowfall in a single day: 62 inches (160 cm) on Dec. 29, 1955.

Alaska Rendezvous Heli Guides provides premiere heliskiing experiences in Thompson Pass and the Chugach Range. Our Rendezvous Lodge is located farther to the north than many of the other heliski operators in Valdez; putting our guests closer to the Blue Hole of Thompson Pass. Since storms often clear from the north, we can take advantage of more skiable days than anywhere else in the region. Safety Info

We hold all of our staff to high levels of safety protocols and training. Our guides have a minimum Professional Avalanche training at Level 3, and Wilderness First Responder certification or better. Many of our staff are certified ski instructors and members of the National Ski Patrol.
